A soulful folk singer, harmonica player and guitarist, Robert Jackson sings songs of his life and travels from Bristol to San Francisco and all the long roads in between. His distinctive voice, vibrato harmonica and driving acoustic guitar combine with raw and cultured songwriting of adventure, bitter romance and synchronicity.
He has been touring solo around the UK, Europe and America since April 2015 and past shows include: Colston Hall (Bristol), Sidewalk café (New York, NY) and Madame Claude (Berlin).
His music has recently been featured in independent movie by Philip Klein and he is currently working on a soundtrack for a documentary film.
His folk/blues/country blend includes tones from early Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Robert Johnson and Joni Mitchell, songwriters; Willy Mason and Evan Dando are also evident, as well as more contemporary influences such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Felice Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show.
