Cookery school teacher for Demuths Vegetarian Restaurant
Appearing on Sunday at 12pm in the Cookery Demos room
Jo trained as a visual artist before working as a head chef and cookery school teacher for Demuths Vegetarian Restaurant in Bath. Jo is now one of the regular chef-tutors at Demuths Cookery School and leads on all things Spanish and the Creative Cookery Master Class.
Jo works at Redcliffe Children’s Centre in Bristol. She co-ordinates the centre's Food Project which connects young children with discovering and growing fresh produce. Food sessions at the Redcliffe centre are led by the children’s interests rather than being adult-led and based on recipes. The focus is on vegetables and fruit, spices and herbs. Children at the centre, some as young as two, chop with safe knives and cook on an induction hob in the purpose-built children’s kitchen. Jo is a finalist in the BBC’s Cook of The Year Award.
