Roll up, roll up - Vegucated to be shown at Brighton 2012!
In the last few days, we've been exchanging interesting emails with a very nice man named Demetrius and are very pleased to announce that Brighton VegfestUK will now be hosting a showing of Vegucated – a film telling the story of 3 people who adopt the vegan diet for 6 weeks and a whole new way of thinking. It has lived up to the film maker's intentions and has swayed people from vegetarian to vegan, omnivore to herbivore and careless eater to conscious eater. Vegucated world premièred at Toronto Indie Film Festival barely 4 months ago, busting through attendance records and winning Best Documentary. They've won a Chris Award and are part of three other film festivals in 2012. Demetrius says “we're very excited to be showing Vegucated at VegfestUK. It's long been on our wishlist to attend.” Vegucated will be shown on Saturday 17th March at 12pm. You can find out more about the film by clicking here.

Bristol now sponsored by Redwood, Goodlife, The Vegan Society and more...
We're very happy to say that Bristol VegfestUK 2012 is now home to lots of fantastic sponsors. These include Goodlife, Yaoh, The Vegan Society, Nakd Wholefoods, Out of Hand and Excellart. And at the end of last year we were thrilled to announce that Redwood had come on board as Show Sponsors. It's safe to say that as a free, not-for-profit event, we couldn't function without the support of these amazing organisations and we would like to extend our hugest thanks to everyone who is supporting us this year for both shows, as well as in previous years. All of these sponsors will have stalls at Bristol VegfestUK 2012 – look out for them!
Talisman to headline Sunday night at Bristol!
One of the UK's top Roots Reggae bands, who have in the past supported acts such as The Clash and The Rolling Stones will be headlining Bristol VegfestUK 2012 on Sunday night. Originally formed in 1977, Talisman toured the UK building up a loyal following and leaving memories of gigs that are still discussed to this day. They have reformed with their original line up after 30 years apart and will be playing the Sunday headline slot at Bristol VegfestUK 2012. This year, entry to see the evening headliners is 100% FREE – for the first time the festival is completely ticketless all weekend! Talisman will be playing at 6.30pm on Sunday 27th May 2012.
